★ বর্তমান সময়ে প্রতিযোগিতা মূলক পরীক্ষার জন্য কমন একটি টপিক হচ্ছে Tag Question.
★ ৯/১০ম শ্রেণির জন্য কমন একটা টপিক হচ্ছে Tag Question।
Tag Question এর মূল আলোচনায় যাওয়া যাক।

★ বক্তা যে সংক্ষিপ্ত প্রশ্নের মাধ্যমে তার অনুমান সত্য কি না তা যাচাই করার চেষ্টা করে, তাকে Tag Question বলে।
★ stc: Don't দ্বারা বাক্য শুরু হলে Tag Question এ will you হব।যেমন -
1) Don't forget me, ----------------? Ans: will you?
2) Don't waste your time,--------?
3) Don't make a noise,----------?
4) Don't tell a lie,----------?
★stc: Let's / Let us দ্বারা বাক্য শুরু হলে Tag Question এ Shall we হবে। যেমন-
1) Let's go home, ---------? Ans: shall we?
2) Let us go out for a walk, -----?
3) Let me do the work, -----?
4) Let's have a discussion, -----?
5) Let's discuss this with him,-----?
6) Let us do something, ----?
7) Let's have a walk, -----?
8) Let's go out,-----?
9) Let's have some fun,----?
10)Let him write a litter, -----?
11) Let us enjoy the program, ------?
★ stc: Imperative Sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে Tag Question এ will you/ won't you বসে। যেমন -
1) open the door, ----------? Will you/ won't you?
2) open the winxow,------------?
3) shut the book,----------?
4) Do your duty in time,---------?
5) shut up,------------?
★ stc: Let দ্বারা বাক্য শুরু হলে Tag Question এ will you হবে। যেমন -
1) Let him go home,-------?Ans: will you?
★stc: I + am দ্বারা বাক্য শুরু হলে Tag Question এ Aren't I হবে। যেমন-
1) I am a student, --------------? Ans: Aren't I?
2) I am happy, -----------?
3) I am late,----------?
4) I am as tall as he,-----------?
5) I am punctual, ---------------?
★stc: বাক্যে Auxiliary verb থাকলে থাকলে তা দ্বারা Tag question করতে হবে। [ প্রশ্ন Negative হলে উত্তর Affirmative হবে।] যেমন-
1) He is a student, ----------? Ans: isn't he?
2) He is not a student,----------? Ans : is he?
3) We may fail at first,------?
4) But we must not lose heart,-------?
5) He does not take sugar in tea,------?
6) The baby is innocent,------?
7) He says that time is money,-------?
8) We ought to love our country, -----?
9) Economics is my favorite subject, -------?
10)The girl can please us all------?
11) He had to go abroad for treatment, ------?
12) You dare not drive at night, ------?
13) You need not go to the field, -----?
14) We must eat vegetable,------?
15) It is hot today, ------?
16) Bangladesh is a small country, -----?
17) He is a wise man,------?
★ stc: present Indefinite tense যুক্ত বাক্যেকে Tag question করতে হলে Auxiliary verb হিসাবে do/ does বসে। [ note : V1 হলে do এবং v+ s/es হলে does] যেমন-
1) He reads a book,-------? Ans: doesn't he?
2) I read a book.........? Ans: don't I?
3) They play Football, ------------?
4) Rini knows the matter, ----------?
5) Sinners suffer in the long run,----------?
6) Rini teaches us English,------------?
7) Fire burns,---------?
8) Everybody knows this, ----------?
9) Nobody pays him due respect, ----------?
10) Time and tied wait for none, -----------?
★ stc: past Indefinite tense যুক্ত বক্যকে Tag Question করতে হলে Auxiliary verb হিসাবে Did বসাতে হবে। যেমন-
1) Rini killed me--------? Ans: didn't she?
2) Rini singned the petition, -----------?
3) He lent you some money, ---------?
4) He put the book on the table, -----------?
5) He went to Market, ----------?
6) He played football, ----------?
★ stc : Nothing, something, anything, everything এদের পরিবর্তে tag Question এ it বসাতে হয়। যেমন-
1) Everything is ok,-------------? Ans: isn't it?
2) Nothing can happen without cause,--------?
3) A barking dog seldom bites,-----------?
4) Nothing comes out for nothing, --------?
5) The glass contains little water,--------?
★ stc: বস্তুবাচক singular Noun এর পরিবর্তে it বসে। এবং plural Noun এর পরিবর্তে They বসে। যেমন -
1) Book is my best friend,-----------? Isn't it?
2) Books is our best friends,---------? Aren't they?
3) People don't honor him,-----?
4) Trees are our best friends, -----?
5) Children fond of sweets,------?
6) Birds can fly, -----?
7) Fishes can't fly,------?
8) Birds can't swim,------?
★stc: Every, Everyone, Everybody, Nobody, somebody, Anybody, no one, one এদের পরিবর্তে they হবে। যেমন -
1) Everybody likes him, ---------? Ans: don't they?
2) No one knows what will happen next, -----?
3) Everybody likes flower, ------?
4) Neither of them was responsible, ------?
5) In our class, everybody knows everybody, ------?
6) No man is happy in this World, -----?
7) Every mother loves her child, -----?
8) Everybody played well, ------?
9) Nobody dislikes flower, -----?
10) Everybody dislikes him, ------?
★ stc: Nobody, no one, nothing, seldom, Neither, none, scarcely, Never, Rarely, hardly, few, little এগুলো Negative শব্দ। তাই এরা বাক্যে থাকলে উত্তর হ্যা বোধক হবে। যেমন -
1) None can do it,-------? Ans: can they?
2) She Hardly comes here,---------?
3) He seldom comes here,--------?
4) Nither of them went --------? Ans: did they?
5) I shall Never forget you,---------?
6) Nothing comes or goes,-----------?
7) He can never help the poor,----------?
★ stc: Adjective এর পূর্বে The বসলে তা plural subject হয় তাই এর পরিবর্তে They বসে। যেমন-
1) The rich are not always happy, -------? Ans: are they?
2) The poor are not always dishonest, ----------?
3) The virtuous are happy, -----------?
4) The brave deserve the fair,-----------?
