Degree of comparison নিয়ে আজকে আমরা আলোচনা করব।
Degree of comparison বর্তমানে প্রতিযোগিতা মূলক পরীক্ষার জন্য একটি কমন টপিক, একটু সচেতন হলে পরীক্ষার হলে Degree থেকে আসা প্রশ্ন ভুল হবে না।
[ নিজেকে নিজে মার্ক দিতে হবে, তাহলেই সফলা ও ব্যার্থতা কারণ খিজে পাওয়া যাবে]

★ Degree তিন প্রকার যথা -
1) positive Degree
2) Comparative Degree
3) Superlative Degree.
★ আমরা প্রথমে Degree এর Adjective গুলো চিনব।
positive adj - Comparative adj- Superlative adj
as/ so -----as - er - est/ st
as good as - better - best
as great as- greater greatest
as Far as- farther - Farthest
as Fore as - Former - first
as Much as - more - most
As bad / ill/ evilas - worse - worst
as good/well as - better - best
as little as - less/ lesser - Least
as Hind as - Hinder - Hindermost
★ positive Adjective সব সময় as---- as এর মাজে থাকবে। As ---as এই দই as হচ্ছে বডি গাড। যেমন as good as
★ Comparative Adjective এর শেষে er/ r যুক্ত থাকে। যেমন - Greater.
★ Superlative adjective এর শেষে est/st যুক্ত থাকে। যেমন -best
★ এবার আমরা Degree এর STC অংশ দেখব।

Very few - Than most other - One of the
No Other - Than any other - the
1. positive to Comparative : কৌশল: Adjective এর পরের অংশ + Verb + comparative adjective + STC + বাকি অংশ।
যেমন- No other boy in the class is as good as he.
Com: He is better than any other boy in the class.
যেমন- He is as good as malek.
Ans: Malek is not better than he. [ ব্যতিরম]
2. Positive - Superlative : কৌশল : Adjective এর পরের অংশ + Verb+ STS + Superlative adjective + Other.
যেমন - No ther boy in the class is as good as he.
Ans: He is the best boy in the class.
3. Comparative - Superlative : কৌশল- Subject + Verb + STC + Superlative adjective + other.
যেমন- He is better than any other boy in the class.
Ans: He is the best boy in the class.
4. Superlative - Comparative : কৌশল - Subject+ verb + Comparative adjective + STS + Other.
যেমন- He is the best boy in the class.
Ans: He is better than any other boy in the class.
5. Superlative - positive : কৌশল - STC + Adjective এর পরের অংশ + verb + as+ positive adjective + as + other.
যেমন - He is the best boy in the class.
Ans: No other boy in the class is as good as he.
বিঃদ্র- নিম্নের নোট দেখুন, আশা করি সহজ লাগবে। যদি বুঝতে সমস্যা হয় তাহলে আমাদের সাথে যোগোযোগ করুন।

★ নিজে করুন।
Positive থেকে Comparative
1) Very few metals are so/as precious as gold.
2) A bird cannot fly so/as fast as a plane.
3) Honesty is not so/as much as it is.
4) She is not so/as ugly as you said.
5) Orange is not so/as cheap as you said.
6) The lady was not so young as I expected.
7) Eagle's eyes were not so bright as hers.
8) No other boy in the orphanage is so/as good as jerry.
9) You have done as much as a man.
10) As soon as she saw it,she knew that it must be Jim's.
Comparative থেকে Superlative
1) Imran Khan is faster than most other cricketers.
2) He is not less intelligent than any other boy.
3) Bhutan is smaller than most other countries in the world.
4) Mutton was cheaper than any other food on the menu.
5) Ruma is fairer than any other girl.
6) It burns prettier than any other wood.
7) The lady guest was cleverer than any other woman.
